Amos Alexander Good, 88, of Sandyville, WV, passed away September 22, 2026 in Mountain View Care Center, Ripley, WV, following an extended illness. 

He was born August 2, 1938 in Advent, WV, a son of the late Brady and Bernice (Haynes) Good. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Doris Irene "Dot" Good; sons, Ricky Lane Good and James Allen Good;  sisters, Cornelia Hanshaw and Kathleen Good.

He was a lifelong farmer and a former meat cutter for Wolfe Slaughter House, Ripley, WV. He was a Christian and attended Hemlock Community Church, Sunrise Church and the United in Christ Church in Cottageville. He enjoyed hunting, farming and the outdoors. 

Survivors include his daughters, Brenda Marie Hobson and her husband James of Ravenswood, Carolyn Sue Marion and her husband George of Roanoke; brothers, Dale Good of Sissonville and Alvin Good of Advent; sisters, Geraldine Harper of Walton and Pauline Harper of Spencer; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m. ~ Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV. With Pastor Caitlin Ware, Officiating. Burial will follow in the Kiser Cemetery, Kentuck, WV. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers donations are preferred.
