Angela Sue (Prunty) Hackney, of Ravenswood, WV passed away September 14, 2025.  She was born November 3, 1966, the daughter of the late James E. Prunty Sr. and Juanita (Peyton) Prunty.  Angela was the loving wife of Ronald K. Hackney who preceded her in death in 2021, and she missed immensely.

Angie was a 1985 graduate of Ravenswood High School and was active in FFA and the marching band.  She was employed by DHL Supply Chain in Parkersburg and spoke fondly of her work family during her many stories over the years.

Angie is survived by her stepdaughter Samantha Barnette and was "Mamaw Annie" to Raiden, Scarlett, Erron and Milenna all of Cottageville.  She is also survived by her brother Franklin (Rebecca) Prunty of Elizabeth; sisters Elaine Guthrie of Navarre, OH, Donna (Gary) Wright of Ripley, Shirley (Tommy) Murray of Sandyville, Denise King, and Regina (Paul Jr.) Nuzum both of Ravenswood, WV.

Angie was preceded in death also by her brother James E. Prunty Jr; sisters Eileen Simon, and Juanita "Jean" Bunnell; nephew Aaron Prunty; and special brothers-in-law Camden Guthrie and Wayne Simon.

Angie may have hung us up by our toes, thrown us out windows, and made us bite our tongues, but she loved big, and she loved hard.  We all knew she'd gather us in a big hug and hold our hand through any battle we faced.

Service will be 1 p.m. ~ Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with Minister Jon Larrson officiating. Burial will follow in Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville, WV.
