Ann Marie (Kerns) Pursley, 91, of Ripley, WV, went home to be with the Lord September 27, 2026, at her home following an extended illness.

She was born September 12, 1935, in Ripley, WV, a daughter of the late William Marion Kerns and Leona (Snyder) Kerns. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Creed Basil Pursley along with several brothers and sisters.

She was a graduate of Ripley High School. She was a homemaker and a minister’s wife who enjoyed reading her Bible, flowers and attending Rising Sun Church.

Survivors include her sons, Creed “Sonny” Pursley Jr. and his wife Sandra of Ripley, WV and David (Gail) Pursley of Kenna, WV; daughters, Cookie (Mike) Milam of Ripley, WV, Betty (Mike) Merrick of Ripley, WV and Kathy (Danny) Good of Cross Lanes, WV; brothers, James, Donnie and William Kerns; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grand children and one great-great grandchild.  As well as all of her beloved Facebook Friends. 

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. ~ Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Fairview Cemetery, Leroy, WV.
