Anthony Wayne "Tony" Smith , 45, of Evans, WV, formerly of Lincoln County, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Jackson General Hospital, following an extended illness.

He was born June 20, 1976, in Charleston, WV, a son of Phyllis Jean (Owen) Smith and the late Fred Edward Smith. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Wesley Smith.

Tony worked for Hawkeye out of Kentucky as a Coal Miner for several years until the time of his illness. He was an avid WVU and Cowboys sports fan and loved watching the television show, M.A.S.H. Tony enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, and spending time with his dogs.

Survivors in addition to his mother, include his wife of 5 ½ years, Malena (Milam) Smith; daughters, Hannah Smith, and Morgan Webb and a host of friends.

Service will be 7 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastor Benjamin Riggleman officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until time of service on Thursday.
