Arthur Leo Keefer, 80 of Leon, WV, passed away June 27, 2021 at his home following a prolonged illness.

He was born January 12, 1941 in Southside, WV the son of the late, Lester and Gladys Mable (Durst) Keefer.

Arthur was retired from American Alloys with 31 years of service and was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed spending Sunday's with his family and was happiest when on a farm tractor.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marcella L. (Herdman) Keefer; son, Phillip Keefer (Jeannie) of Leon; daughter, Paula Kay Barr (Don) of Leon; grandson, Stephen Keefer (Jennifer) Leon; granddaughters, Amber Keefer of Leon, Elizabeth "Lizard" Knapp (Harland) of Point Pleasant, Meghan Bowles of Ripley and Cinthia Keefer (Jared) of Gallipolis, OH.

He is also survived by great grandchildren, Austin Keefer, Zoey Knapp, Cole Knapp, Jayce Calhoun, Emmett Calhoun and Roman Anthony: brother, Ray Keefer of Leon; sisters, Reba Workman of Maysel and Nora Donohew of Evans.

Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with Pastor Doug Garten officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Church Cemetery, Leon, WV. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
