Barbara Ann (Whiting) Kay, 77, of Evans, WV passed away February 18, 2025, in Hubbard Hospice House/Thomas Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born June 7, 1947 in Sissonville, WV a daughter of the late Author Maywood and Lena Mavalene (Pritt) Whiting. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Whiting; sisters, Diana Gresham, Wanda Thomas and Kathy Whiting.
She was a homemaker and a retired Home Health Aid. She was a Christian and enjoyed quilting, sewing and music.
Survivors include her sons, Lonnie (Erin) Kay of Atlanta, GA, Jeff (Anita) Kay of Huntington and James "Leroy" Kay of Evans; daughter, Angie Kay Casto of Evans; brothers, Otho Whiting of Charleston, Leonard Whiting of Melbourne, FL, Timothy and Greg Whiting of Columbus, OH; sister, Judy Whiting of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Aaron Kay, Christen Casto, Meghan Kay; great grandson, Banks Aaron Kay.
Service will be 2 p.m. ~ Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
