Betty Ruth (Sheltz) McClanahan, 75, of Ravenswood, WV (Flatwoods Community) passed away July 12, 2025 in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV.

She was born January 22, 1950, in Charleston, WV a daughter of the late Jesse Laurence and Ruth Mildred (Nibert) Sheltz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Keith McClanahan.

She was retired from the sporting goods department of Walmart in Ripley, WV. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a longtime West Virginia Hunters Safety Instructor. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, R. Douglas Chapter #15 Ravenswood, WV. Betty was a good friend and neighbor and will be dearly missed by many.

Survivors include her sons, Randy and Patrick McClanahan; grandchildren, Jesse and Lauren.
