Billy Joe Pauley, 55, Mount Alto, WV, passed away March 22, 2026 in West Virginia University Medicine, Camden Clark, Parkersburg, WV following a sudden illness.

He was born June 28, 1970, in Ripley, WV, a son of the late Robert S. and Viola Frances (Bergdorf) Pauley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Teresa Pauley.

He was a graduate of Ravenswood High School and enjoyed hunting, the outdoors and going to auctions. He was a former employee of the stamping plant in Charleston, WV.

Survivors include his sons, Kevin Pauley of Waycross, GA, Brandon(Chelsie) VanFossen of Ripley, WV, James (Amanda) Pauley of Ravenswood and Brian (Lacy) Pauley of Sandyville, WV; brother, Danny Pauley of Ravenswood; sisters, Tressie Blackwell of Coolville, OH, Bobbie Jo McKown of Point Pleasant, WV and Flora Richards of Charleston, WV; four grandchildren; He is also survived by Jackie Haynes of Mount Alto and her children, Shannon Banks, Cory and Chad Whitlatch.

Service will be 3 p.m. ~ March 28, 2026 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time-of-service Saturday at the funeral home.
