Bonita L. "Bonnie" Sheppard, 78, of Cottageville, WV, passed away July 5, 2025, at her home.

She was born November 8, 1946 in Portland, OH, a daughter of the late Edwin D. and Eliza (Lamp) McLeod. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert "Butch" Sheppard; brother, Kenneth A. McLeod.

She was a graduate of Belpre High School and Mountain State Business College. She retired with 33 years of service for Province Webb & Associates Accounting Firm in Parkersburg, WV. She was a charter member of the Parchment Valley Baptist Church, Ripley, WV, serving as treasurer, Sunday school teacher and organist. She was a current member of the Hopewell Baptist Church Mt. Alto, WV.

Survivors include her son, Aaron T. Sheppard of Cottageville, WV; daughter, Angela (Sheppard) Lowe of Belpre, OH; grandchildren, Layne, Zack and Amanda Lowe; great grandchildren, Kylie Dawn, Bentley and Brooklynn Lowe.; brothers, Larry E. McLeod of Federalsburg, MD and Bruce "Dan" McLeod of Belpre, OH.

Service will be 1 p.m. ~ Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Casto Funeral Home, Cottageville, WV, with Rev. Herman Robinson and Andrew Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
