Boyd Lee Cranfield, 56 , of Mount Alto, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at his home, following an extended illness.

He was born November 19, 1965, in Ripley, WV, a son of Robert (Ellen) Cranfield of Ravenswood. He was preceded in death by his mothers, Hallie (Casto) Ocheltree and Barb Cranfield; nephews, David Hess and Trevor Bailey.

Boyd was a 1984 graduate of Ripley High School and served in the United States Army. He was a truck driver for various companies and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Boyd enjoyed life to the fullest, spending time with his family was everything to him. He especially loved playing with his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his father, survivors include his wife, Brenda Scott Cranfield; sons, Eric (Jadin) Marcum, Greg (David) Marcum, Jesse Cranfield; daughter, Natasha Forshey; brothers, Eddie (Tonya) Cranfield, Bobby (Tammy) Cranfield, Frankie (Michelle) Cranfield, Matt Kay; sisters, Kathy Dowler, Anna (Robbie) Bailey, Amanda Cranfield and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rikki Hesson and Hospice of Huntington for the wonderful care, love and compassion shown to Boyd and his family.

A celebration of Boyd's life will take place from noon until 6 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 429 Harpold Ave. Ravenswood, WV.
