Brenda Gail (Wayne) Harrison, 64, of Goldtown, WV was reunited with her late husband, Ronald Lee "Chopper" Harrison, in the presence of the Lord on August 3, 2026.

Brenda was born on July 24, 1962 to the late Bobbie Brooks Wayne and to Patsy (Stutler) Wayne. Brenda spent her childhood in Evans, WV. Many weekends were occupied with riding horses for countless hours and attending church faithfully on Sundays followed by large family dinners. Brenda was strong in her faith. She would always make sure everyone knew that Brenda loved them but Jesus also loved them too. Brenda's family has found comfort in knowing she is now in her heavenly home. Absent from the body is to be present with the Lord — 2 Corinthians 5:8.

Throughout her life, Brenda enjoyed many things — Trout fishing in the mountains, riding Harley Davidsons, and tending to her flower gardens. She was a huge animal lover, especially to her puppies. Brenda will often be remembered as always carrying her original green Stanley thermos full of coffee. Whether it was in the heat of summer or a cold winter day, Brenda never failed to have her coffee with her.

In addition to her late husband and late father, Brenda is also proceeded in death by her brother, Bobby (Mildred) Wayne, sister, Sherry Dillion, and brother-in-law, Kevin Coffman.

Left to cherish Brenda's life is her son, Gale Sayre and his wife Erica.  In addition to Brenda's mother are her sisters, Dianne (Frank) Lowry, Karen (late Kevin) Coffman, and Connie Dees; and brother-in-law, Randal Dillion. Brenda will be missed by her stepchildren (Brad Harrison and Ginger Harrison), grandkids, nieces, and nephews. And also, many other family members and friends, including Medaylen Parsons - who Brenda loved like her own daughter. Brenda will also be terribly missed by Brian Barnes and Jill Coberly, who saw Brenda as a mom - always being there for her until the very end. The family would like to thank Brian and Jill for everything they did for Brenda, not only during her end-of-life care but for the last several years.

The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone during this difficult time. They have had exceptional support and care during Brenda's illness including her hospital stay at CAMC General 4 South and in her home care with Kanawha Hospice.

Service will be 12 o'clock noon, Friday ~ August 7, 2026 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with Pastor Joe Hoggard officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Given, WV. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time-of-service Friday at the funeral home.
