Our sweet, feisty, strong-willed, courageous mother, Bunnie Ann Ramsey, passed away peacefully at Camden Clark Hospital, Parkersburg, WV on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 6:57pm, surrounded by her husband, son, sister, niece, and bonus son.  Born July 23, 1957, she was raised by her Aunt Sally and Uncle Allen Cash in Creedmor, NC in Granville County.

She was not only a wife, mother, sister and aunt, but much more to many others including friends and co-workers.  Some she met along the way while working at Ripley Middle School as a cook for several years until her first cancer diagnosis.  She enjoyed many things in life, such as trips to the Smoky Mountains and Amish country, evening dates playing bingo with her co-workers and myself, as well as spending time working in the yard, and cooking for her family and friends.  Her time with family was so important to her and taking care of BJ was top priority.  Her children were always first and foremost, and although she knew I could handle my life on my own, BJ on the other hand was her world and she made sure anything he needed was taken care of.  Even though we as a family will always have this void in our lives, it would be selfish of us to want to keep her and she fought her battle and was a true warrior through it all.  It is now her time to rest and continue to watch over us all, as I know she is.

She is survived by her husband and companion of 52 years, Joe Ramsey; daughter, Charlotte (Seth) Stephens; son, William "BJ" Ramsey; sister,  Cassandra (George) McGettrick, aunt, Sally Cash, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Casto Funeral Home in Evans, WV on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 1pm –3pm.
