Carlyn Scarber , 86, of Richwood, WV passed away June 12, 2021 in Cottageville, WV. She was born November 7, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Ottie Mae Fowler and John Robert Hedrick Sr.

Carlyn had worked many years as a retail manager and was an active member in her church Cherry River Southern Baptist in Richwood, WV. She enjoyed sewing, reading, crocheting and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Scarber; and brother, Jack Hedrick.

Left behind to cherish her memory, are her children, Robert Long, LuAnne Wickline and Daniel Scarber (Rhonda) all of VA; six grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; and two nieces, Pam Garrett (Bill) of Cottageville, WV and Jackie Denemark (Eric) of Ripley, WV.

Memorial service for Carlyn will be held at 5 p.m., June 17, 2021, at Cherry River Southern Baptist Church, Richwood, WV. A graveside service will take place 12:30 P.M., Monday, June 28, 2021 at Quantico National Cemetery~ 18424 Joplin Rd. Triangle, VA 22172.
