Carolyn Sue (Tolley) Hill, 79, of Ripley, WV, passed away November 8, 2025 in Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, WV, following an extended illness.

She was born September 21, 1946, in Nitro, WV, a daughter of the late Raymond Harmon and Lura (Parsons) Tolley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Parker.

She was a graduate of Nitro High School. She was a homemaker and the former co-owner and operator with her husband of the Bible Bookstore in Ripley, WV from 1989-2004.

She was a member of the Ripley Baptist Temple and former Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed cooking for herself and others.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Max Hill; son, Todd W. Hill of Ripley, WV; daughter, Heather L. (Todd) Massey of Simpsonville, SC; brothers, Richard L. Tolley of San Antonio, TX and Gilbert O. Tolley of Jackson, AL; granddaughter, Quinn Massey.

Service will be 2 p.m. ~ Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Ripley Baptist Temple, 320 Charleston Drive Ripley, WV 25271 with Pastor Grant Garber and Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will follow in Creston Cemetery, Evans, WV. Visitation will be at the church from 12:30pm until time of service.
