Casey Joseph Benson , 41, Ravenswood WV, passed away February 23, 2023 following a sudden illness.

He was born on February 27,1981 in Ripley, WV the son of Marlin and Rebecca (Greathouse) Benson of Ravenswood. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jack and Ella Mae (Roberts) Greathouse of Spencer, WV and paternal grandparents, Carl and Ann (Pickens) Benson of Ripley.

Casey was a 1999 Graduate of Ripley High School and was the kind of person everyone wanted in their lives; caring, funny and always willing to help. No matter the situation, Casey would always find a way to make the people he loved smile and laugh. He had one of the kindest hearts you'd ever meet and always went above and beyond for everyone in his life. Just being in the same room as him was more than a blessing. His smile and humor would light up any room he walked into. Casey loved Batman and Superman drawing, computers and being with family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his aunts, Janice Dunlap (Herbert) of Rock Branch, Mendy Milhoan of Spencer; uncle, Bob Greathouse (Susan) of Reedy; cousins, Tabitha Gallegof, Cassie Greathouse, Caleb Greathouse, Kelsey Milhoan, Mariah Milhoan, Nevaeh Milhoan, Sam Thompson and Daxx Bennett.

Services will be 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Casto Funeral Home Ravenswood, WV with Pastor Danny Cummings officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. prior to time of service at the funeral home.

Committal service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer, WV.
