Cecil Harold O'Dell Jr., 68, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away August 8, 2022, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, WV, following an extended illness.

He was born February 13, 1954, in Gauley Bridge, WV, a son of Shirley Temple (Jones) O'Dell of Montgomery, WV and the late Cecil Harold O'Dell Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, "Buckley" O'Dell; sisters, Ruby Rogers and Beverly O'Dell.

He was a former maintenance/security guard for Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV. He was a Christian and a former interim Pastor for several area churches. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Debra Lynn (Beasley) O'Dell; son, Cecil H. O'Dell III of Morgantown; daughters, Melissa J. France and Amanda D. O'Dell both of Ravenswood; granddaughter, Hailey N. France.

Service will be 2 p.m. ~ Friday, August 12, 2022, at Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Cottageville, WV, with Pastor Steve Sayre officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV, from 5 p.m until 7 p.m.
