Charles Ronald Bennett, 85, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away August 4, 2021, at his home following a brief illness.

He was born May 26, 1936, in Ravenswood, WV, a son of the late Birdie Bennett Rhodes.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Peery, and a sister Erma Hoschar.

Charles was a United States Army Veteran, and was a professional truck driver for various companies over many years. He enjoyed repairing lawn mowers, hunting, and fishing.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Edna (Gandee) Bennett; son, Charles M. Bennett and his wife Paula of Durbin, WV; daughter, Pamela McGrew and her husband Ray of Mason, WV; brother, Harry Bennett; sisters, Marjorie Martin, Estella Masters, Wanda Bradford, and Lou Knox; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.

Service will be 3 p.m., Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV, with Pastor Mark Price officiating. Burial will follow at Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville, WV. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service on Sunday, at the funeral home.
