Charles Ellis "Sonny" Clay, 72, of Cottageville, WV, passed away October 5, 2021 in Mountain View Care Center, Ripley, WV.

He was born September 27, 1949, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Charles Lewis and Agnes Imogene (Oscha) Clay. His wife, Barbara Clay; brother, Wayne Clay also preceded him in death.

He was a former truck driver. He worked in maintenance at the Holiday Inn in Ripley, WV and enjoyed working on old cars.

Survivors include his daughter, Sandy; brothers, John H. Clay of Ripley and William E. Clay of Cottageville; sister, Diane I. Clay of Creedmoor, NC; grandson Tyler Clay of Cottageville. There will be no public services at this time.
