Charles Perry Fields, 68, of Cottageville, WV, passed away July 19, 2026 at his home following a brief illness.

He was born January 22, 1958, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Delmar and Phoebe Ann (Critchfield) Fields. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Eugene Fields.

He was a United States Army veteran. He was a former coal miner, stone mason and former employee of Kaiser Aluminum. He enjoyed fishing, antiques and being with his family.

Survivors include his wife Pamela Kay (Buckner) Fields; daughter, Amy (Brandon) Landis of Kenna, WV and Amanda (Ben) Dyer of Bills Creek, WV; brother, Scottie Fields of Gay, WV; sisters, Bonnie Little of Ripley, Cookie Hinzman of Sandyville, Rosemary Lambert of Charleston and Missy Rogers of Cottageville; five grandchildren; step-son, Justin Randolph and his fiancé Katey of Mason; step-daughter, Brooke Randolph & Shane Miller of Cottageville.

Private burial and service will be in Otterbein Cemetery, Evans, WV.
