Charles Mack Fields, 88, of Gay, WV, passed away July 6, 2021 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV, following a brief illness.

He was born August 17, 1932 in Statts Mills, WV, a son of the late Virgil and Nettie (Price) Fields. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Faye (Canter) Fields; brothers Sherman, Basil, Cecil, Ray and Roy Fields; sisters, Monnie Mahood and Dorothy Canter.

He was retired with 40 years of service from the City of Ripley maintenance department. He attended the Longview Community Church and enjoyed woodworking, hunting, gardening and his greenhouses.

Survivors include his sons, Mike Fields (Kathy) of Gay, WV and Gary Fields of Sandyville; grandsons, Michael Fields II (Jovita), Justin and Jeff Fields; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Calliope, Violet and Evelyn Fields.

Service will be 11 a.m. ~ Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastor Doug Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Siniaville Cemetery, Statts Mills, WV.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
