Charles Lee "Charlie" Nicholson, 50, of Evans, WV, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV, following a brief illness.

He was born February 28, 1974, in Grantsville, WV, a son of the late Norman Dee and Carol Sue (Grady) Nicholson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Elly Snider.

Charlie worked at the Clendenin H&R Block for over 19 years and most recent was employed by Walmart in Ripley as a greeter and also a self check out associate. Charlie was one of a kind and held a special place in many lives. He enjoyed taking care of his swimming pool and tending to his family and friends. Charlie was a huge Dolly Parton fan and previously held position of Ambassador for the Dolly Parton fan club.

Survivors include his brothers, Mark Nicholson and wife, Monica of Gay, WV, Kevin Nicholson of Evans; Nieces and nephew, Shayla Blackburn, Brandi Spicer, Desiree Nicholson, Tierra Nicholson, Dokata Nicholson; great nieces and nephews, Paislee, Emsy, Avery, Maddi, Destiny, Waylon, Emily, Abel, Samuel, Ruby; significant other for 13 years, June Snider; special friends, Joy Durst and daughter, Shelly, Jenny Westfall, Jenny Igo, Kelly Igo; Aunt B; Uncle Larry and a host of additional friends and extended family.

Service will be 7 p.m., Monday, November 4, 2024, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 6 p.m. until time of service on Monday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to help the family with final expenses.
