Christine P. (Vlassis) Lancaster , 85, of Ripley, WV, formerly of Syracuse, NY, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at home, following an extended illness.

She was born April 12, 1937, in Syracuse, NY, a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Togias) Vlassis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Anita Binaxis.

Christine had previously worked as a receptionist for Rodax Enterprises Electrical Supply Store in Syracuse. She attended St. Ann's Catholic Church and St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church in New York. She loved her animals, especially her dog and enjoyed watching Law and Order, Little House on the Prairie, and Murder She Wrote.

Survivors include her son, James Lancaster and his wife, Jennifer of Ripley; brother, Dean Vlassis and his wife, Dodi of Syracuse, NY; former husband, Joseph Lancaster of Syracuse, NY and caregiver, Kelly Harbin.

Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2022, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may visit with the family from 1 p.m. until time of service on Monday, at the funeral home.
