Clyde Clinton Syner, 92, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.

He was born August 22, 1931, in Boone County, WV, a son of the late George and America (Taylor) Syner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Syner; son, Randall Syner and two brothers, Johnny and Paul Syner.

Clyde graduated in the top three from Montgomery High School. He was a United States Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. Clyde retired from Constellium production department with 39 years of service and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local #5668, Ravenswood, WV. He was a dedicated preacher and past pastor of Prayer and Faith Tabernacle in Ripley with over 40 years of faithful service. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his son, Jerry Syner and wife, Rhonda of Sandyville; brother, Orvill Syner and wife Synda of Belle, WV; sister, Joann Sparks of Charleston, WV; grandchildren, Amber (Curtis), Bradley (Kayla), Colton (Sarah), Micah (Shaun), Jostin (Nikki); great grandchildren, Brett Boner, Nathan, Taylor, Christopher, Landon, Kaylee, Abigail, Raegan, Addison, Holden, and a host of friends.

Service will be 2 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2024, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastor Doug Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service on Monday, at the funeral home.
