Conita (Thompson) Pinkerton, 74 , of Ravenswood, WV, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 in Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, WV, following a brief illness.

She was born April 11, 1949, in Acme, WV, a daughter of the late Coy Albert and Pansy (Rollins) Thompson.

Conita was a United Methodist minister's wife and attended Silverton United Methodist Church. She graduated from East Bank High school and was a former EKG technician at Bluefield Regional Medical Center as well as a dark room technician at Jackson General Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband,  Rev. James L. Pinkerton Sr.; brothers, Coy Jr., Archie Paul, Carshell, Ronnie, and Bobby Thompson; sisters, Jacqueline Terry and June Lanham.

Survivors include her son James L. Pinkerton Jr., and his wife Stacie of Cottageville, WV; grandson, Zane Pinkerton (Kenley);  special niece, Phyllis Green.

Graveside service will be ~ 1 p.m., Monday, October 9, 2023, at Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville, WV, with Pastor Bill Holley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the charity of your choice in Conita's honor.
