David James Barnett, 62, of Leon, WV, passed away May 20, 2022 in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV, following an extended illness.

He was born October 5, 1959, in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of the late Earl Lawrence and Mary Mae (Thornton) Barnett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Adamae "Amy" Lucille Barnett.

He was a farmer and a tree trimmer. He attended Pine Grove Community Church, Leon, WV.

Survivors include his brothers, Dewey, Robert and Earl Barnett all of Leon.

Service will be 11 am ~ Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastor Christopher Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
