David Paul Collins , 59, of Charleston, WV, went home to be with his lord on Monday, February, 14, 2022, at CAMC General Hospital, Charleston.

He was born October 26, 1962, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Clifford Gene and Margaret Louise (Smarr) Collins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Greg, Mike, Danny, Wayne, and Terry.

David had a passion for old cars and loved his truck, which he named, Luke, more than life itself. He was self employed, enjoyed tinkering around with vehicles and was Baptist by faith.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Stephanie Collins (Chuck Hicks) of Charleston, WV, C.J. Collins of Charleston, WV; sister, Vicky Collins of Ripley, WV; the love of his life, Lisa Carpenter; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Service will be 7 p.m., Monday, February 21, 2022, at the Charleston Mountain Mission Church, 1600 Seventh Ave, Charleston, WV 25302, with Rev. Jerry Walls officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 6 p.m. until time of service on Monday, at the church.
