Delmer Lloyd Murray Sr., 84, of Sandyville, WV, passed away September 3, 2025 in Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, WV, following a brief illness.

He was born June 3, 1941 in Sandyville, WV, a son of the late Gilbert Lloyd and Bertha (Flesher) Murray. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Donna Jean Murray, brothers Dale and Larry Murray

He was a graduate of Gilmore High School, Sandyville, WV. He was a retired Lineman and heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include his daughters, Tammy (Ricky) Tapscott of Carrollton, OH, Melissa (Nathaniel) Ketchem of Carrollton, OH and Jami (Chris) Maltonic of Saline, OH; son, Delmer L. Murray Jr. and his wife Shelia of Sandyville, WV and Neil (Debbie) Weekley of Ravenswood; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Elmer (Freda) Murray of Mineral Wells, Dannie (Linda) Murray of Mineral Wells, Donzal (Rosella) Murray of Sandyville and Dwight (Deloris) Murray of Palestine.

Service will be 3 p.m. ~ Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV with Delmer L. Murray Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowdale Baptist Church Cemetery, Sandyville, WV. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
