Delphia Marie (Sayre) King, age 74, departed this earthly vessel at her daughter's home on Saturday, July 29, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Delphia was born March 5, 1949, in Evans, WV, a daughter of Marie J. (Kinzel) Sayre Hatcher and the late Forrest O. Sayre. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Uriah E. Hatcher; sisters, Olive (Clarence) Fauver, Barbara Adams and her companion of 30 years, Wendell Casto.

Delphia had a love for horses and was a constant supporter of horse shows in the area. She was never so happy as to when she was riding with her friend, Linda Donohew or taking care of horses and goats on Wind Dale Farm. Many may remember her as the owner and operator of Evans Market.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Eric (Debbie) King of Ripley, WV; daughter, Lisa King Butcher of Cottageville, WV; grandchildren, Justin King, Haley (Joe) Cross, Victoria Randolph, Keifer (Tabitha) Butcher; seven great grandchildren, Kirstin Carpenter, Kaileigh, Isaac Jr., Isaiah Randolph, Addison, Kylie, and Waylon Cross; special family friends, Aaron and Whitney Cutright and their daughter, Miranda.

A celebration of Delphia's life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Casto Funeral Home for their services and compassion during this time.
