Doris Jean (Caltrider) Nickerson, 90, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away November 23, 2023, at the Ravenswood Village, Ravenswood, WV, following an extended illness.

She was born July 14, 1933, in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late James Elkie and Alverta (Morgan) Caltrider. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Nickerson; grandparents who raised her Frank and Ada Caltrider.

She was a graduate of Ripley High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed singing.

Survivors include her sons, Rick (Ruth) Snyder of Ravenswood, Allen (Sandy) Snyder of Davison, MI and Gregory (Terrilynn) Nickerson of Denver, CO; daughters, Alverta Jean Schneller of Jackson, MI and Theresa Bunker of Flint, MI; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
