Doris Ann (McDermott) Savage, 86, of Mount Alto, WV, passed away November, 9, 2023, in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV, following an extended illness.

She was born August 5, 1937, in Leon, WV, a daughter of the late Parkison Darrell and Elva May (Stephens) McDermott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Savage; son, Allen Durst and three great grandchildren.

She was a former Inventory Control Planner for Lakin State Hospital and enjoyed spending time with family, friends and reading.

Survivors include her daughters, Shannon Savage and her husband Carlos of Hurricane, WV and Carmen Savage of Point Pleasant, WV; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Private entombment will take place in Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Cottageville, WV. There will be no public services at this time.
