Doris Arlene Spellman, 81, of Ripley, WV passed away October 20, 2024, at her

home.

She was born March 27, 1943, in Kenna, WV the daughter of the late Daniel Webb and Pearl (Anderson) Walker. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry Walker and Webster Walker.

Arlene was a retired receptionist from Tom Peden Chevrolet, a member of the Order of Eastern Star and attended the Ripley Baptist Temple. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting.

Survivors include her daughter, Anita Taylor (Glenn); grandchildren, Matthew Taylor (Kathrine), Christopher Taylor (Katie) and Ashley Taylor; great grandchildren, Daniel Taylor and Ezekiel Taylor and her brother, Eugene Boggess.

Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with Pastor Grant Garber and John Gunther officiating. Burial will follow in the Salt Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday.
