Dorothy Ann (Sizemore) Hanshaw, 92, of Cottageville, WV (Evergreen Hills Community) went to be with her Lord on November 18, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born August 2, 1933 in Clay, WV, a daughter of the late Richard Theodore Sizemore Sr. and Virgie Lee (Mullins) Sizemore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick H. Hanshaw; brothers R.T. Sizemore Jr., and Jack Sizemore; sisters, Betty L. Sizemore and Jeannie Sizemore; sons-in-law, Randell L. Hooser, Mark E. Heindl and Irvin D. Hoschar; grandsons, Mathew Gerwig and Nicholas H. Hashman.

She was a graduate of Clay High School. She was a member of the Evergreen Hills Freewill Baptist Church and the Evergreen Hills C.E.O.S. She enjoyed baking, helping and giving to others.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen Hoschar of Millwood, Nancy Hooser of Sharon, WV, Judy Heindl and Cindy Hanshaw both of Cottageville, Betty (Robert) Crump of Milton, D.E.; grandchildren, Billy "BJ" (Becky Hoff) Hashman , Justin (Ashley) Heindl, Anita (Jonathan) Capps, Cassandra (Justin) Johns, Elizabeth (Phillip) Kingery, Andrea (Mark) Porterfield, Adam Williams, Michael (Katie) Crump, Amanda (Josh) Michener; great-grandchildren, Hannah (Micah) Taotafas, Tyler Hashman, Michael Hashman, Joah, Jase, and Adelyn Heindl, Savannah, Jackson, Lincoln and Tucker Kingery, Brailey Baxter, Logan Parsons, Wyatt Porterfield, Lila Jones, Jacob Crump, Frankie and Harper Michener; Jameson Johns & Brennan Capps, Rylie and Sadie Capps, and Joanna Johns. And Great Great Grandson Percy Taotafas.

Service will be 7 p.m. ~ Friday, November 21, 2025 at the Evergreen Hills Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Price officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time Friday at the church Graveside Service will be 11 a.m. ~ Saturday, November 22, 2025 in Clay Memorial Gardens, Clay, WV.
