Douglas Leroy Merical, 77, of Millwood, WV, passed away February 21, 2021 in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, OH, following an extended illness.

He was born January 21, 1944, in Millwood, WV, a son of the late Okey Ray Merical and Virginia F. (Sayre) Merical Coplin.

He was a graduate of Ravenswood High School and enjoyed fishing, hunting, sky diving, motorcycles, and boating. He was a retired produce manager for Food Fair with 48 years of service. He was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Reba Jo (Shinn) Merical; daughters, Michele R. (Gregory) Stephens of Beverly, OH, Kimberly L. (Jeff) Fisher of Cottageville and Monica (Scott) Cossin of Mount Alto; brother, Willard "Dick" (Connie) Merical of Millwood; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and special friend, Max Ellis.

Service will be 1 p.m. ~ Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastor Vera Archer officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville, WV. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until time of service.
