Douglas Wayne Wilson, 81, of Ripley, WV, passed away November 26, 2023 at his home following an extended illness.

He was born June 4, 1942, in Cabin Creek, WV, a son of the late Harvey Anderson and Ella Reba (Stanley) Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Wilson; brothers, Henry, Harvey, David and Robert Wilson; sister, Helen Casto.

He was a United States Air Force veteran. He was retired with 40 plus years of service from Constellium, Ravenswood, WV and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local # 5668, Ravenswood. He enjoyed model trains and airplanes.

Survivors include his son Douglas Wayne Wilson II and his wife Gina of Ripley, WV; daughter Cheryl Lynn (Mike) Donohew of Evans.; sister Alice Simms of Melbourne, FL; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. ~ December 21, 2023 in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Leon, WV, with Pastor Doug Garten officiating. Graveside military service will be conducted by the Jackson County Honor Gurard. Arrangements provided by Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV.
