Earl Lee West, 90, of Cottageville, WV, formerly of Spencer, WV, passed away February 20, 2022 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV.

He was born March 1, 1931, in Spencer, WV a son of the late Charles Dennis and Mary Ann (Price) West. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lenore (Smith) West, second wife JoAnn (Sayre) Cunningham West; brothers, Oshel, Buell, James Otis, Charles Junior, Joe, Dayton; sisters, Irene Allen and Freda Scott.

Earl, was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from Century Aluminum Ravenswood, WV and a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local # 5668. He was a member of the Parchment Valley Baptist Church, Ripley, WV. He enjoyed camping, hunting, watching westerns and sitting on his porch visiting with family and friends whom he loved "a bushel and a peck"

Survivors include his step-children, Sharon Mann and Ronnie (Tina) Cunningham all of Statts Mills, Reggie (Pam) Cunningham of Sandyville and Rodney (Rosemary) Cunningham of Point Pleasant; eight step-grandchildren and numerous step-great grandchildren; sisters, Jewel Boggs of Spencer, Ruth Ray of Fairplain, Virginia Raines of Mineral Wells, Alice Harper of Falling Rock, Marie Starcher of Morehead, KY and several nieces and nephews; special neighbors and friends, Byron and Kathy Euler.

Service will be 1 p.m. ~ Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with Pastor Herman Robinson and Pastor Matt Ash officiating. Burial with military rites by the Jackson County Honor Guard will follow in Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville, WV. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations are preferred to the Parchment Valley Baptist Church, 1883 Ripley Road, Ripley, WV 25271
