Francis English Rectenwald, 72, of Sandyville, WV passed away October 11, 2022 in the Grant Medical Center, Columbus, OH following an extended illness.

He was born July 12, 1950 in Charleston, WV, the son of the late William F., Sr. and Margaret Johanna (Sullivan) Rectenwald. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, William F. Rectenwald, Jr.

Francis was a retired commercial electrician and member of I.B.E.W. Local #466 Charleston, WV. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening, working on the farm and family get-togethers.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Gail Lynn (Jordan) Rectenwald; son, Travis Robinson (America); daughters, Mechelle Wilson, Jacqueline Rectenwald, Angela Lilly (John) and Frances Lester; brothers, Timothy Rectenwald (Linda) and Michael Rectenwald (Patricia) and sister, Elizabeth "Betsy" Dobbs (Ronald).

Also surviving are grandchildren, Chloe Lacey, Trent Lacey, Anthony Forte, Arion Forte, Amora Forte, Arolyn Forte, Jack Alvarez and Travis K. Robinson and great grandchildren, Joseph Everson, Destiny Everson and Leia Alvarez.

Private interment will be in the Francis and Gail R's Resting Angels Cemetery, Sandyville, WV.
