Gloria Jean (McKinney) Lacy, 74, of Cottageville, WV, passed away December 19, 2025, in Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, WV, following a sudden illness.

She was born June 2, 1951, in Hamlin, Lincoln County, WV a daughter of the late George and Ernie (Elkins) McKinney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Paula McKinney; husband, David Lacy.

She retired from Walmart, Ripley, WV with over 20 plus years of service. She had a caring heart and was always helping those in need. She enjoyed crafting and her pets.

Survivors include her son, Brian Lacy of Cottageville; daughter Stephanie (Justin) Thaxton of Charleston, WV; sister Marilyn Coleman of Goldtown, WV; grandchildren, Kennedy and Lily Thaxton.

Service will be 2 p.m. ~ Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with Pastor Mike Elder officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville, WV. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time on Tuesday.
