Henry Edsel Fitzwater Jr. “Junior” 61 of Ravenswood, WV, passed away September 19, 2026 in Ravenswood Village following a brief illness.

He was born September 30, 1964, in Ripley, WV, a son of the late Henry E. Fitzwater Sr. and Elsie Catherine (Ghee) Fitzwater. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Meredith and Ursula Lemaster.

He was a graduate of Ravenswood High School. He was a former disc jockey for WMOV Radio and most recently employed by McDonalds of Ravenswood. He enjoyed shooting pool.

Survivors include his son, Hunter Fitzwater of Ravenswood; daughter Georgeanna Smith and her husband Matthew of Ravenswood; grandchildren Kyler and Sienna Smith; sisters, Sharon Harris and Henrietta Lemaster both of Ravenswood.

Private burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery. There will be no public service at this time.
