James Ronald "Ronnie" Gandee , 74, of Ripley, WV, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV, following a long-term illness.

He was born June 2, 1947, in Kenna, WV, a son of the late Foster and Vesta Mae (Crane) Gandee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Carl, Jack, Keith, Raymond, Marshall, Johnny, Junior, George, Billy Joe, Dorotha Utt, Ruth Dowdy, Ruby Tolley, Josephine Hite and Virginia Martin.

Ronnie was the youngest son of Foster and Vesta Gandee. He was a 1965 graduate of Ripley High School and drove truck for Westbrook Trucking in Belmont, WV, until the time of his illness.

Survivors include his children, James R. "Jamie" Gandee II., of Evans, Becky Gandee of Ripley, Melissa "Missy" Gandee of Ripley, David Gandee of Wilmington, SC; grandchildren, Kacey Rhodes, Jackie Gandee, Zane Scarberry, Cortlyn Reese Gandee, Connor Ranse Gandee; great grandson, Casen Durst; sister, Edna Bennett and good friend, Jamie Steele.

In honoring his wishes, there will be no public services.
