James "JJ" Hart, 60, of Evans, WV, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio following a sudden illness.

He was born April 6, 1964, in Kenosha, WI, the son of the late James F and Eileen (Schwartz) Hart.

JJ was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran and worked for Walmart in Ripley, WV for many years. His favorite place to be was soaking up the sun while at the beach. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping, photography, cooking, but most of all, spending time with and taking care of his family.

Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Sandra (Bennett) Hart; son, Carlton Overstreet of Madison Heights, VA; daughters, Anita (Todd) Parsons of Charleston, WV, and Karen Moody (Jeffrey Allerding) of Gay, WV; grandchildren, Micheal (Taylor) Parsons, Wyatt Pritt, Andrew, Austin, Claire, and Abbygail Moody; and great-grandchildren Kinsleigh and Joni Parsons.

A celebration of life will be 5 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with Pastor Shawn Kasten officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home on Thursday.
