John Paul Cunningham III, 36, of Ripley, WV, passed away August 4, 2020.

He was born June 13, 1984, in Ripley, WV, a son of John Paul (Lorri) Cunningham Jr. of Cottageville, WV and Patricia (McCaffery) Roush and her husband Ronnie of Ravenswood.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Ann McCafferty; uncle, Albert Cunningham; aunt, Kathleen Steele.

He was a graduate of Ripley High School and enjoyed R.C. Cars, fishing, hunting and dirt track racing. He was a former E.M.T. for Kanawha County and was currently serving as Captain of the Cottageville Volunteer Fire Department, Cottageville, WV.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife Casey Marie (Garnes) Cunningham; son, John Paul Cunningham IV; daughter, Montana Skylar Cunningham; brother, Jesse (Sierra) Cunningham of Kenna; sister, Katie Cunningham of Florida; grandparents, John and Brenda Cunningham of Ripley; nieces, Laikynn Cunningham and Delsie Nowe and several aunts, uncles and cousins..

Service will be 1 p.m. ~ Sunday, August 9, 2020, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastor Jason Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Foster Chapel Cemetery, Evans, WV. Visitation will be from 12 pm until service time, Sunday at the funeral home.
