Joshua William Thompson, 32, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away July 19, 2020 in Cottageville, WV.

He was born March 4, 1988, in Ripley, WV, a son of Gary Ray (Brenda) Thompson of Evans, WV and Beverly Ann (Joseph) Smith of Sandyville, WV.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his brothers, Nathaniel (Renna) Thompson of Ripley, Christopher Smith and Ethan Smith of Sandyville, WV and Anthony Walters of Evans, WV; sister, Ashley (Joey) Sheets of Ripley, WV; grandparents, William and Patricia McCauley of Ravenswood, WV, Sharon Smith of Sandyville, WV and Bud and Faye McVey of Sandyville, WV.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Carl Ray and Donna Thompson and James "Ick" Smith.

There will be no public services at this time.
