Judy Ann Thaxton Moore, 80, of Evans, WV passed away January 13, 2023 at her residence.

Judy was born February 21, 1942 in Sissonville (Wolfpen), WV and was the daughter of the late Rossi and Nora Lanham Thaxton.

She was an executive housekeeper at Eldercare of Ripley and several hotels; and owned Hatfield's Market in Evans. She loved mowing, weedeating and spending hours hunting and collecting rocks and seashells. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Left behind to cherish her memory, are her children, Leigh Ann Moore of Evans and Kevin J. Moore (Jeana) of Leon, WV; brother, Danny Thaxton (Joy) of Buffalo, WV; sisters, Norma Lee Raines of Hurricane, WV and Patsy Tucker of Arbuckle Creek, WV; granddaughter, Kelsey Martin (Brandon) of Leon, WV; great grandchildren, Jasmine McClure (Tate Riley) of Ripley, WV and Kaden Martin of Leon; great-great grandchild, Emory Riley of Ripley; daughter-in-law, Diana Bullard (Bob) of Ravenswood, WV; and special friend and caregiver, Chris Anderson of Leon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen J. Moore; son, Ronald A. McClure; grandsons, Johnathan McClure and Jason Boaz; infant brother, Ernie Thaxton; brothers, Harold, Dexter and Marvin Thaxton; and sisters, Sandra Withrow and Esta Lee Thaxton.

There will be no services at this time. Judy will be buried at a later date at Creston Cemetery in Leon, WV. The family would like to give special thanks to Kanawha Hospice for all their care and support.
