Katheleen Kane (Kay) King, 73, of Jackson, OH, formerly of Gallipolis, OH passed away July 3, 2026 in The Four Winds Community, Jackson, OH, following an extended illness.

She was born May 17, 1953 in Point Pleasant, WV, a daughter of the late Sidney A. Kay and Carol Alison "Honey" Minturn Gerlach.

She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School. She was a member and former secretary of the St. Louis Catholic Church, Gallipolis, OH. She was a former employee for the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, OH. She enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers, reading, Elvis and Motown Music, television shows and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, Guy Edward King and his fiancé Mandy Sharp of Oak Hill, OH; step-siblings, Jimmy Gerlach, Shirley Riffle and Patsy Nelson; grand dog Lily; special friends, Jeff Condor, Karen Rosinski and Katuria Johnson.

In addition to her father and mother she was preceded in death by her son, Ryan Ross King; step-father, Ross Gerlach.

Service will be 11 a.m. ~ Friday, July 10, 2026 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastor Jeff Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in Roseberry Cemetery, Leon, WV. Visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral.
