Kathleen Victoria Sayre Jenkins, 63, of Hurricane, WV, passed away August 1, 2021 in CAMC Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born September 2, 1957 in Seattle, WA the daughter of the late Franklin Butler and Betty Winona (Hill) Harrison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Frederick Ray Sayre; son, Reuben Harrison Sayre and sister Lura Fielding.

Kathleen was a graduate of the West Virginia University School of Nursing and retired from CAMC Memorial Hospital with 27 years of service. She was a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism medieval enactment group and member of the American Legion Post #139 Auxiliary in Milton. She enjoyed riding the Harley motorcycle with her husband, Jim, arts and crafts, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie D. Jenkins; daughters, Dorothy Sayre and Melissa Musgrave (Derek); stepson, Joey Jenkins; stepdaughter, Brandy Jenkins; brother, Tim Harrison; grandchildren, Harrison Musgrave and James Musgrave; brother-in-law, Tim Sayre (Catherine) and nephews, Vaughn Anderson, Jason Anderson, Michael Sayre and Tim Harrison.

Service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with the Rev. Ravi Isaiah officiating. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. with the Nurse Honor Guard of the Ohio Valley providing a ceremony at 6:50 p.m.

Committal service will be 12 noon Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville, WV.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
