Kenneth W Hackney , 67, of Cottageville, WV, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV, following an extended illness.

He was born August 12, 1955, in Jackson County, WV, a son of the late Silas and Reba Faye (Ray) Hackney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister.

Kenneth worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for various companies. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed being on the river and hunting.

Survivors include his children, Joey Hackney and his wife, Jennifer of Ashville, OH, Melissa Hackney and her wife, Amanda of Cottageville. He is also survived by four brothers, two sisters, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and caregiver, Rebecca Hackney of Cottageville.
