Kenneth "Oliver" Hoschar, 83, of the Evergreen Hills community, Cottageville, WV passed away unexpectedly on October 27, 2024 at his home.

He was born October, 3, 1941, in Cow Run, a son of the late Vinton Edward and Mabel V. (Hartley) Hoschar. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Joyce Ann (Holt) Hoschar; brother, Kenna Hoschar and his in-laws, Pershing and Crystal Holt who loved him like a son.

Oliver was retired with 33 years' service from Constellium Rolled Products, Ravenswood, WV and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union, Local 5668. He was a United States Army Reserve veteran and enjoyed hunting and spending time on his farm.

Survivors include his son, Michael Shane Hoschar and his wife Julie of Cottageville; grandchildren, Andrew Hoschar (Fiona) of Ravenswood and Adam Hoschar of Cottageville.; sisters, Maxine Franklin, and Imogene Shamblen, both of Cottageville, several nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with Pastor Mark Price officiating. Burial will follow at Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville. Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
