Kenny Smith, 77, of Mount Alto, WV, passed away March 24, 2024 in Ravenswood Village, Ravenswood, WV, following an extended illness.

He was born November 4, 1946, in Racine, Ohio, a son of the late Benjamin Harrison and Ruth Naomi (Grady) Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Dorothy (Baker) Smith; brothers, Eugene, Scottie, Carroll and Jimmy Ray Smith.

He was a graduate of Ravenswood High School. He was a United States Army veteran. He retired from Foote Mineral, New Haven, WV and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, tractors and taking care of his family.

Survivors include his son Dale Gene (Charity) Smith of Mount Alto; grandson, Briar Smith; brother, Curtis Smith of Weston, WV; sisters, Mary Weedo of Ormond Beach, Fl, Penny Elam of Racine, OH and Connie Stinson of Chillicothe, OH.

Service will be 1 p.m. ~ Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastor Randy Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Letart Falls Cemetery, Letart Falls, OH. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time-of-service Thursday at the funeral home.
