Lawrence Edward Bennett, 81, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away March 28, 2023 in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV, following a brief illness.

He was born June 24, 1941, in Ravenswood, WV, a son of the late Clarence Wesley and Ada Frances (Morgan) Bennett. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Leon Bennett; sister, Linda May (Bennett) Shinn.

He was a graduate of Ravenswood High School. He was a former Produce Manager in Ravenswood and retired from K.S. of West Virginia. He was a Methodist by faith and enjoyed antiques.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years Linda Lou (Garrett) Bennett; son, David Wesley Bennett and his wife Sandra of Suffolk, VA; grandson, William Alexander Bennett.

Private interment will be in Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood, WV on April 6, 2023.
