Leona L. Little of Letart, WV, passed away March 19, 2021, while surrounded by her family, following an extended illness.

She was born March 3, 1938 in Dunlow, WV, the daughter of the late Verdic and Georgia (Napier) Lovins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Little; her son, John David Little; brothers, Ray, Thornton, Luther and Leonard and sisters, Marie, Myrtle, Jenny and Opal.

Leona was a retired licensed practical nurse from Pleasant Valley Hospital and was a past matron and current member of the Order of Eastern Star, Cottageville Chapter #16. She attended the Creston Church and enjoyed gospel music.

Survivors include her daughters, Katherine Diane Lane of Bonita Springs, FL and Karen Denice Birchfield (Tom) of Letart, WV; grandchildren, Sean, John William, Emily, Lucinda, Bethany and Sahana; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Otta Lee Kelly of Norfolk, VA, Frances Roarke (Jim) of Newark, OH and Georgia Meade (Larry) of Johnstown, OH and a very special friend, Marie Keefer of Leon.

Service will be 5 p.m. Sunday March 21, 2021 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with Pastor D.J. Casto officiating. Private entombment will be in Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Cottageville. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where an Order of Eastern Star service will begin at 4:50 p.m. followed with a memorial by the Nurse Honor Guard of the Ohio Valley.
